Overview
Pre and post natal personal training where I understand your unique goals and your body to support you to exercise with confidence.

With first-hand experience of exercising throughout pregnancy and the post-partum period, I am passionate about supporting women to regain confidence in their body and their own ability. Mums deserve that space in the gym or on the running track. Having felt unsupported during my own pregnancy and return to fitness I took matters into my own hands qualifying as a personal trainer and additionally in pre and post natal exercise. Do not let anyone tell you that you should not exercise, or your symptoms of pain, incontinence or prolapse are normal. Get expert advice and learn how to enjoy moving your body again.

As women, our bodies go through a number of natural changes, from menstrual cycle fluctuations, to pregnancy, childbirth, recovery from birth and the menopause. This not only affects how we feel, but also how we move. One thing in common throughout all these life stages is a desire to move in a way that is safe and right for our own bodies.

Having children should not limit our physical abilities- it should do the exact opposite; it should empower and invigorate.

Taking a holistic approach combined with nutritional therapy, I assess you as an individual and your exercise goals. We work together to get the foundations right; from diaphragmatic breathing, to maintaining core strength and rebuilding pelvic floor condition through dynamic movement.

Whether your goal is to improve running post-partum, to sustain exercise throughout pregnancy or move to support your mood through the menopause, 1-2-1 women’s health personal training ensures your time is focused, and sees results.

What to expect in a personal training session

We start with an in depth questionnaire so I can understand your body and your current needs. With an extensive network of incredible women’s health specialists, I can refer you if needed, or work alongside other practitioners, such as women’s health physios or osteopaths.

I design a programme to meet your health goals, starting with a physical assessment, considering posture, breathing, physical imbalances and screening for diastasis recti. We build a strong foundation combining breath and functional movement patterns. With simple exercises you can repeat at home, we progress to more dynamic movements at a higher intensity.

If you have a specific exercise need, such as for an event or for a corporate setting please get in touch to discuss options.

A plan that includes both nutritional therapy and personal training sessions will achieve the best results and sustained change. Consider complimenting personal training with 1-2-1 nutritional therapy sessions.
