The Power of Vulnerability: Building Resilient Leadership is a human-centred leadership development session, centred on powerful storytelling intertwined with resilient leadership theory that unpacks what resilience really looks like and how it feels. We discuss how resilience is not a theoretical concept, but a cultivated skill that shapes how leaders think, decide, communicate, and navigate pressure.

Led by Becca Meadows, a leadership consultant and wellbeing strategist who uniquely combines leadership insight with physical wellbeing expertise, this session brings a depth and nuance that traditional leadership programmes rarely touch.

Participants are supported to reflect honestly on where they are right now, understand what moves them from pressure into stress, and practise the behaviours that enable resilient, authentic leadership.

Vulnerability is not positioned as weakness, nor as a buzzword,  but as a key differentiator of leaders who can thrive through uncertainty, build stronger teams, and create psychologically safer cultures.

1. What Is a Resilient Leader?

Let’s introduce the core attributes of resilient leadership and what resilience looks like in behaviour, not just concept. 

2. Where Are You At?

The audience are invited to self-reflect and check-in, exploring where they sit on the uncertainty spectrum between coping and overwhelm.

3. What Makes Teams Work?

Using a globally acclaimed leadership model (Resilient Leaders Elements®), combined with a vulnerability based team building model we look at the role of vulnerability and resilient leadership in shaping team culture.  

4. The Power of Vulnerability

Why vulnerability strengthens leadership, communication and decision-making,  what stops us asking for help and how to challenge those narratives. 

5. Your Turn: Practising Resilience Behaviours

We exploring the top and bottom 10 behaviours that influence leadership resilience with individual and group reflection on strengths and development areas.
